Well now, I didn’t expect THIS one to happen.
Almost without realizing it, I’ve been eating almost 100% raw for the last…well…7 days or so. Maybe 6, at the time of this blog entry.
And it’s been quite a remarkable experience thus far.
A couple things I noticed just now that I’d like to share with you. These things are mostly about the effects that I’ve noticed lately.
Note: While I cannot contribute all of these noticeable differences in my reality to eating raw foods, as I’ve also quit smoking simultaneously with the transition, the effects have been note-worthy, for sure.
For starters, I’ve found that I’m far more “accurate” with my physical activities. Little things, like throwing trash into the basket while a few steps away, or placing things on a table with precision. Its almost like I’ve gotten less-clumsy or something.
I think this has a LOT to do with the fact that I have about 10 times more energy now than I know what to do with. I’m fairly certain that the no-smoking thing has a major impact on that, but overall, I’m buzzing out of control and can hardly contain myself.
Another thing, I can contribute mostly to the raw/superfood diet is that I feel a LOT lighter in my body. A whole lot. This started when I cut dairy out of my diet about a month ago, but now with only raw foods, its almost double what it had already become.
My muscles feel stronger, but probably cause I’ve been actually USING them at the gym. First thing in the morning, I go. Every other day at this point, can’t go nuts rushing in and burning out.
One MAJOR thing has been my mental clarity. Holy shit. I can’t even begin to describe how much more clear my thoughts are. My emotions are on the forefront and I have more control of them now than ever before in my life. With that, they have also become stronger and more powerful. I think the raw food has almost everything to do with that.
My friend Steve Pavlina says that when you start eating raw, your body is no longer dealing with the emotional “numbing” effect that most cooked food – especially “comfort” food – has on the body. That’s why some depressed people eat themselves into obesity, to hide from the pain.
Eating raw is the exact opposite. Its like an emotional PURGING of the soul. I like it a lot, as it’s a new challenge for me to deal with face on. That, and with drawl from cigarettes. The two together has been like walking into Dante’s Inferno buck-ass naked and covered in nitro fuel.
Lots and lots of changes in my life. The best part is, they are MY changes that I am making for ME. Not at the whim of someone else.
Its amazing what you can accomplish when you set your intention right. I’m just figuring that out and applying it the best I can.
But anyways, – yeah. Diving head first into a ridiculous super health lifestyle is fun, you should try it.
Especially when you have cool people to do it with. Speaking of which, I have my “sex elixir” video in post production and ready to go. Plus, another video with me, Lisa and Caleb as we make the ultimate super food smoothies.
Stay tuned ya’ll!
A.
